Welcome to our 2019 Velvet Sire Sale

13th January 2019. Viewing from 12pm, auction at 1pm

What a contrast here at Peel Forest from last year. We had a warm, mild winter and have had what seems an endless run of rain in spring and now up to Christmas, but red deer are an amazing animal and the 3yr old stags have come through it well having cut some very clean, nice velvet.
We have not been tempted into cataloguing velvet just on weight and have kept the line-up for sale as clean as possible in keeping with how we want to breed into the future.
As you will be aware, Non-traditional velvet is being penalised via pricing, therefore it is extremely important to keep velvet looking tidy. Stags who have been bred through generations with the goal of clean style will produce high price velvet. It is our opinion that the price differentiation will not only continue but widen into the future.
The stags for sale are Pure English DNA profiled sires with Walton bloodlines continuing to produce the goods, be it his sons or daughters, it’s a winning formula and we look forward to using the next generation of this potent Warnham sire.
No 3yr Trophy sires are offered in the auction this year. We are by no means out of the trophy industry but have just changed the way we sell them. Contact Mark or Steve if you are interested in purchasing trophy stags.
We stand behind all the stags we sell and please contact me if you wish to view the animals in the paddock or have any questions concerning stags for sale.
